YOGA AND mindfulness training with abedah
Partner acrobaticsThis practice is a fusion inspired by contact acrobatics and partner yoga.
These workshops are developed to create an environment in which participants can learn new ways to share movement in pairs or groups. Abedah arranges Partner Yoga gatherings so that like-minded people have a chance to exchange skills and meet. Partner Yoga creates the perfect platform to explore outside of one's comfort zone by teaching individuals how to connect by communicating effectively, having an awareness of others' emotions as well as learning to be compassionate to the needs of others. Abedah aims to share energetic and structured workshops where participants can leave with a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. Level of Practice: Beginner Friendly, sense of humour and playfulness required. |
stand up paddle yogaAbedah loves to play outdoors - what better way to explore than on water.
SUP yoga is an excellent, dynamic, playful way of testing balance and core strength. Sessions are conducted on a paddle board that is wide, long and stable. The postures are sequenced to follow a gradual flow. Students will be taken through a sequence that starts in seated, supine and prone postures. The practice will then progress to standing and balancing poses before floating into a blissful meditation, moving with the gentle motion of the water. Level of Practice: Beginner Friendly, participants must also be able to swim. |
Private YogaAbedah is available to facilitate group and private classes.
Styles of Yoga Taught Hatha Vinyasa Yin Grief Recovery Yoga Private yoga lessons are particularly beneficial for absolute beginners as well as students who have existing injuries. One-on-one lessons are a magnificent opportunity for students who want to explore their practice with a different lens - taking a more detailed orientated approach to their unique anatomy. A student needs to develop their working knowledge of the different pose names, the alignment of their joints and safely stretch the intended muscle groups of each posture. Students who manage injuries can be shown how to modify their practice, avoiding exacerbating pain or discomfort in the body. Students are guided to use the correct modality of yoga that is beneficial to their needs. Group class settings require a level of working knowledge to participate in so as not to feel overwhelmed. Experienced practitioners looking to practice at an intermediate level are also welcome to book private lessons. Intermediate practitioners can delve deeper into postures such as inversions and arm balances. Complex or challenging transitions can also be taught. Level of Practice: Beginners and Intermediate practitioners welcome |
